Oh and btw, the person who reffered the line "In god's creation, supernatual high", open your mind, he's talking about getting high. And also, what a person believes is their business, nobody's else, so it would be nice if everyone dropped the discussion and moved on, because it really is a pointless discussion.. Before anybody says anything such as "if it's pointeless then why are you talking about it" think about it, it's cuz if i didn't say it, nobody else would. And honestly if i were a true christian, and the whole 9 yards, i would probably be offended at people who listen to this and think "oh it's ok they're christian" because i guarantee that a higher power isn't going to appreciate people who listen to something as such. Have a good life every1, ttyl

Ok, first of all, this discussions is 100% pointless, whether or not somebody is christian, jewish, wiccan, pagan, muslim... etc... If you like somebody's music, listen to it. And furter more, death metal bands who are christian, eh, that's beyond the definition of an oxymoron. Hence, death metal. Such as the song Blood Red Sandman. That song is about pretty much the same story as the ring, but in a cassette. It's about some dude killin people, that's about it. I am not of the christian faith, but i'm not an idiot either, and i know that person that is a true christian would not sing of such things. I can't say that Lordi is, or is not christian, nor do i care. I like their music, I'm going to listen to it, and nobody is going to stop me, but i'm sorry, christianity, or any other religion that is anti-devil\satanic\evil, CANNOT be shown through heavy metal. Heavy metal was first started as a way to defy the norm. Look at KISS, they invented Metal. Nobody heard stuff like that until them, and Metallica, one of the biggest metal bands, if not the biggest in the world, their biggest influence is KISS. What i'm trying to say is, heavy metal + christianity...etc. = a joke. Don't look at this as me dogging on christians, i have no problem with any religion whatsover, but when it get's down to arguments because of a bands beliefs, who really cares. If you like it, listen to it.

I didn't know Lordi was a christian band until i saw it on a comment on a youtube video today. I am a christian, so i was thrilled to find this out. I believe it when they say they are christian and I don't think that just because they are heavy metal or whatever that makes them a satanist or anti-christian band. I love lordi and think thatchristian heavy metal is about the lyrics, not the tune.

I do not understand why people say they are not christians. I personally feel that they are all probably christian guys with a non christian record label. Most of their music either has nothing to do with god or is worshipping god and not satan. I think it is obvious that they are "christian" without a label since in one particular song they sing about making the devil their bitch. Obviously they are putting a thumbs up toward god, granted maybe taking an awkward approach to it, but still don't deserve to be thought of as satanist.

i believe theyre christian. not all christian metal bands sing about god 24/7. im a devout christian (re-baptised april 22, 2007 WOOT!) and i fully stand by these guys. most people that talk to me for 20 minutes wouldnt really be able to tell im a christian, unless they seiously pried into my faith, then theyd get blown away by my extreme faith. same with these guys. you cant look at the outside and listen to their words to determine if they are christian or not. that dave williams guy has an excellent point about that. and seriously people, if they are satanic, why would they write a song called 'the devil is a loser' or 'hard rock hallelujah'? theres a christian metal group called demon hunter, and they got songs like 'beheaded', 'summer of darkness, 'beauty through the eyes of a predator', 'snap your fingers, snap your neck', and other songs. and some of those dont mention jesus hardly at all. so, does that immediately count them out as a christian band, even though millions of christians listen to them (my church youth group loves demon hunter), and millions of christian bookstores sell their cd's? no. so, just because lordi has some bad language in their songs, and they dont talk about jesus all the time, doesnt make them non-christians. so, stop saying theyre demonic, satanic, or whatever. they know more about themselves than any of you do.

and a final note, my church pastor even uses bad language sometimes. yet, hes still a VERY devout christian.

The truth is we don't know enough about LORDI to say what is satanic or not about them. Some of the imagery they use is demonic looking, however I do no see any occult symbols in the music video, They may not be fully christian, but at least they beleive in God the Almighty enough to say That the true Believers of God will be saved. The Devil is a Loser is an powerful good song, but be careful of the music you listen to. Look for bands that have occultic symobls in the music or at certain times you will feel a dark spiritual presence around you if you have listen to Satanic music. God will give you a feeling of like this "You should not be here,". Just be careful and spiritually let's watch our asses. Just remember this believe in Jesus with all your heart and pray directly to him when your are in fear of real or spiritual attack. As Christians we have all been given spiritual authority in JESUS CHRIST. The Spiritual Authority is right out of the bible. Even a mustard faith in Jesus brings Salvation to us, Jesus will never condemn us, maybe chastise us, but he will never hate you, but yet discipline you like a father who loves his kid to make them a better person.

yeah i agree that Lordi may confess to be christian, but may not be. There was alot of people saying that the black eyed peas were christian around here (don't know if anyone else thought that) because of their song "where is the love", whereas now we know that they are not. Also some people i knew thought that evanesance were christian because in their album fallen, their guitarist had put God in his thanks go to section in the booklet, i highly doubt that they are by looking at them now. Maybe Lordi are just confessing to be christians to try and reach a larger market to start off their careers. However one of my favourite bands are a very surprising band called Disciple and i have asked many a person if they thought they were christian by listening to them, many of them said no (due to the amount of screaming in "fight for love". I found them however through Kutless who were advertising them saying how on fire they were for God and how they had supported Kutless many times in concerts. Like it has been mentioned, looking at lyrics is a key part to figuring out if a band is Christian or not, especially when their is so much controversy about them, such as with Lordi. Disciple's lyrics really do reflect their passion for God, when a friend of ours was watching eurovision last year her and her family had the subtitles on and couldn't understand when people said they were christian, i cannot remember exactly the lyrics they pointed out but it had something to do with burning all saints or something like that. I do not believe that Lordi are christian, but if someone does have a valid point i could be convinced.

so are lordi a christian band?

I BELIVE THAT THEY ARE A WONDERFUL BAND AND I LOVE THERE MUSIC. YES THEY LOOKE A BIT DEMONIC, BUT IF WE WANNA BE WARRIORS FOR CHRIST WE MUST GET USED TO THE FACES OF OUR ENEMIES. AND I THOUGHT THE SONG WAS TITLED. "HARD ROCK Hallelujah"

Someone mentioned about how "singing through the devils voice" made someone satanic. What about Saviour Machine? They are explicitly Christian, yet because they sing about the end of the world, they have several songs through the eyes of the AntiChrist and even satan himself. It is all part of the theme of the song.

What about christian music? Think about how many songs that come out that are supposedly sung through the voice of God. Does this mean they are trying to be like Gods themselves, or that they think they know exactly what God would say had he written that song? Of course not. They are singing through that voice to approach the song topic from a specific perspective. It's the same with Saviour Machine and Lordi (Apparently)
