Ok, first of all, this discussions is 100% pointless, whether or not somebody is christian, jewish, wiccan, pagan, muslim... etc... If you like somebody's music, listen to it. And furter more, death metal bands who are christian, eh, that's beyond the definition of an oxymoron. Hence, death metal. Such as the song Blood Red Sandman. That song is about pretty much the same story as the ring, but in a cassette. It's about some dude killin people, that's about it. I am not of the christian faith, but i'm not an idiot either, and i know that person that is a true christian would not sing of such things. I can't say that Lordi is, or is not christian, nor do i care. I like their music, I'm going to listen to it, and nobody is going to stop me, but i'm sorry, christianity, or any other religion that is anti-devil\satanic\evil, CANNOT be shown through heavy metal. Heavy metal was first started as a way to defy the norm. Look at KISS, they invented Metal. Nobody heard stuff like that until them, and Metallica, one of the biggest metal bands, if not the biggest in the world, their biggest influence is KISS. What i'm trying to say is, heavy metal + christianity...etc. = a joke. Don't look at this as me dogging on christians, i have no problem with any religion whatsover, but when it get's down to arguments because of a bands beliefs, who really cares. If you like it, listen to it. |
