I think that though they go to church they do not show the fruit of a redeemed life. This is showen in three ways that I will name.
First- Swearing, beside showing very bad vocabulary skills, swearing shows that their lips are not pure as Philippians 4:8 would tell them to be.
Second, calling saten a loser is shows that they do not have any fear of the enemy of their soul. Who should be showen at least the respect due a posinus snake
Third-I do not feel that the fruits of the spirit are present in their songs, and songs come from the overflow of their hearts.

They curse as a means of demonizing the devil (pardon the pun).
The music doesn't sound Christian?? What sounds Christian exactly? A high male voice, acustic guitar and keyboards? Go to Iran or Armenia, Christian music sounds like Persian music..
They have no fear of the enemy? A warrior is not suppose to represent fear.. he is suppose to represent strength, courage and bravery.
The fruits of the spirit aren't present? Listen, if you don't like hard rock/metal.. don't listen to it. The physical sound of the music doesn't represent the spirit, it's the lyrics.. read them.

I cannot believe how people believe that lordi is not a christian band. even some people that look at the lyrics say they are not a christain band. that is nothing other than pure stupidity. i am a 14 year old christian, and i have been searching for a long time, searching for a band that is christian, but is a rock/metal band. and before today i have not found one. so i just lissend to other bands, such as: merlin manson, dissturbed, korn, behimith, and others. I would have lissened to christian bands, but i didnt find any good ones. But, now i lissen to lordi.

Let me tell you something these god loving clowns do not represent our master Satan! just because they are dressed up like Halloween does not make the one of us.it is just their way of attracting a younger audience!!!
Now if you need something to clarify the difference between this band and one of our own the you need to see Gorgoroth then i think you will understand the how different they are!!!

and to some one in austria.....i would bet u havent even LISTENED to the vast majority of "the devilic groups in europe". if you're worried about death metal devil groups taking over the euro music scene....honestly, lordi is not even worth worrying about.....

Dave Williams says "It's not about looking at the image, it's about looking at the spirit. If what they are doing and saying agrees with the Bible, then there's nothing to complain about". I agree completely. However, Lordi's lifestyle doesn't seem to agree with the Bible. Check their website if in doubt. They're swearing, drinking vodka. That doesn't agree with true Christianity. Not in my mind.

im not being funny but why do you have to sing about God if you are a Christian?
Id much rather sing good positive music to millions of people around the world than go round singin cheesy Jesus tunes to a few namby pamby christians in a cold damp church hall somewhere

One does not have to sing about God to be christian, maybe some other christian bands should get a flier on that note. The same old lyrical content gets old, it requires no creativity, and most of all theres more to life than just church or worship, if there wasnt, than thats all that would exist.

First of all I'm in a christian hardrock/metal band and we don't scream our words because we don't want people to have any doubt about what we're singing about .You need to have GOD as the forfront of you songs if you are a christian band if you don't your just a band when you get saved your called to be a witness of the truth about CHRIST and thats what your songs should be about which causes people to make a choice they either run to GOD or away from HIM if your songs don't do that why are you a christian band?

I too am suprised to see Lordi listed as a Christian band.
I have had no inclination prior to this news story that they were.
Whilst I was certain they weren't demonic (monster rock is just a bit of fun - not to be taken seriously), I did think they had a disrespect for the Christian faith - as was demonstrated by their biggest single of last year 'The Devil Is A Loser'. Maybe I misinterpretted the song however...

They are obviously Christians. I don't know how you can look at the lyrics and say they're not. They made an album called Devil Is A Loser. And also here are some lyrics from Hard Rock Hallelujah that show they're Christians:
In God’s creation supernatural high
The true believers
Thou shall be saved
Brothers and sisters keep strong in the faith
On the day of Rockoning
It’s who dares, wins
You will see the jokers soon'll be the new kings
Many thanks,
Rob

from someone who listens to a lot of other metal groups, i can honestly say that, while they have a strong metal sound typical of 'demonic' or 'death metal' groups, their lyrics are bafflingly NOT anti-god. to all you haters out there...why CANT they mention god in a positive light and still dress and play how they want?
