Reviewed by Steve Cox When I heard that 21,000 people attended Stoneleigh this year, an enormous cloud of despondency began to hover like the proverbial sword of Damacles. Would I detect the true spirit of live worship? Would I hear the voice of God? Well, the answer to all these questions is an emphatic Yes! And to those who turn away from the seemingly unending conveyor-belt of live worship albums, I urge you to wrap your spiritual ears around this excellent album and soak the soul with the heart of God for today. For I, too, was a P&W snob but the Lord released me from this mindset into a new realm of worship through albums just like 'Day Of Favour'. Dave Fellingham, Dave Holden and Stuart Townend guide the listener toward the heart of God with some familiar, but freshly anointed, songs of praise, worship and adoration. And, if anyone doubts the true source of the current move of God's Spirit, then listen with your heart to the words of the final track, "Jesus Lover Of My Soul", which include the refrain, "It's all about you, and all this is for you." It makes you feel great to be a Christian in 1995.
