I'm surprised that Lordi is added to the list or artists. And it's appauling that he was called a Christian. I've read all their lyrics and could not find a hint of Christianity. They sing about devil and also they sing in his person, ie. as if they are devils themselves. I don't think that qualifies to be called "christian music"

dude, read the hard rock hallelujah lyrics, and i dont think satan worshipers would make a song called "the devil is a loser"

get your facts straight

why as christians do we always go oooh they have confessed their faith but they dont look the part, oooooh they shout and scream, thats not godly, oooooooh they dont actually mention Jesus in their lyrics.

why dont we say: hey, they have said they are christians, yeah we might not like their style of music or like the way they dress but we need to support them and give them encouragement cos they are the ones on stage infront of millions of people around europe not us guys.

amen, i hate bible thumpers who try and force it upon ppl or in this case shun them from their community just because the way they dress the music they listen to, or what ever. i confessed about 4 years ago, and i admit i listen to lordi, hollywood undead, eminem, and pretty much every band on the face of the earth. ppl think im an idiot for it... just riddle me this. whats so bad about it... does it hurt you more importantly... does it shun the word of god? no so just get over yourself and let them be. am i right?

Could enlighten me as to the bible verse that dictates what we should wear?
As a Christian Goth, I wear black clothing, chains and spikes, but this does not affect what I believe.
Belief is internal, not external.
I personally love the fact that Lordi are Christian.
Great music, Great musicians, Great news I will be spending eternity with them.

I heard the 1st song of Lordi , Hard rock Halleluja on a game. My friends told me he is a Christian and i kinda believed it by looking at the lyrics but when i first saw one of the music videos i really was struck down. The lyrics sound like Christian if u look behind the words but the appearances in the videos and the stuff they do dont really go with Christianity

The lead singer looks like the devil and rises the dead + makes ppl undead.

I will still listen 2 them cause of their awesome music but if they were Christians and acually live it out on stage would make their music even more Hard Rock Halleluja!

With all due respect to you my brother, a person can say and claim anything. They can say they are christian, and they may very well be, but talk is cheap and we all know the devil has come here to steal, kill and destroy. If satan can do that by having a few bands say "we are christians" but not live the life he will. Again, I am not condeming or endorsing this group because I still havn't read enough about them to know yet. What I am saying is that we have to be careful who we listen to who claim to be christian because it takes more than saying we are christians for it to be so. We have to live it. Sadly hell is going to full of alot of people who SAY they are christian. So be careful.

I agree with Dave Williams comment about looking at the spirit and what they are saying and doing - which is why someone ought to have a look at Lordi's lyrics before adding them to your list of Artist Profiles. Nothing there to suggest they are anything different to a thousand other metal bands using religious imagery.

but to be honest although it is fantastic that they are christians i do think their outfits were slightly of the world and could have been made a little more subtle
