Whoz Meech is a hip-hop artist based in Buffalo, New York and his goal of edifying and challenging the body of Christ is clear from the spoken word intro right through this album's closer "For Your Glory". Using clever wordplay set to the backdrop of some fairly straightforward beats, Meech targets believers who have accepted Christ but have since become stagnant with the likes of the title track putting across the suggestion that "we just love grace, we don't want repentance" whilst the equally thought-provoking "Swing 'Em" suggests that the Church doesn't really disciple people properly after conversion. Careful to also point the finger at himself, the sample-heavy "In The Mornin'" sees Meech ruminate on his failings in terms of his relationship with God before "Man Down" and "Broadway" find the rapper continuing to preach at the Church in no-holds-barred fashion. A number of spoken word interludes plus guest appearances from artists such as Chosen, Willz, King Shad and Ai Am Anomaly helps keep things fresh on an album that won't appeal to anyone seeking a cosy Christian life but contains a shedload of spiritual truths that really need to be heard.
