I was initially slightly disappointed by the opening track, Paul Baloche's "Hosanna", which is a fairly unexceptional cover version of this classic. Next comes an uplifting version of Hillsong's "Let Us Adore Him" and gradually my spirit rose and I was drawn into what turned out to be an above average worship album from a Brounemouth-based church. Styles range from pop through classical to even hip-hop and world music. Admittedly occasionally the lead vocals are on the weak side, but this only reminds us that these are just local worshippers rather than professional musicians. 'Your Grace' was produced, recorded and engineered by Julian Downward, whose father Brian is senior pastor at Wessex Christian Centre. Julian also provides vocals, guitars, bass, drums and keyboards along with the rest of the WCC band, and penned two of the original songs on the album. These tracks, "The Passion Of My Heart", with its slightly '60s/Beatles vibe, and the final big production number, "Great Is The Lord In Zion", are every bit as good as the covers.

I have to admit that this is going to be a slightly biast review as not only is this my church's worship band but I am one of the backing vocalists on the album. It was decided that we would record this album not because we wanted to promote the church in any way shape or form or to promote the worship group but because we had several requests from people who visited the church as well as the regulars so that they could listen to us and worship along to the cd in the comfort of their own homes, we are certainly not professional singers and I think I can speak for us all when I say none of us want to be professional singers, we are just simply using our voices to worship God, for us its not about how well polished our music is but it's about following a calling to lead people in to worship and I personally think that is what makes this album so great
