Rachel-Yvonne gathered a few friends together in her Gravesend living room to record this EP in order to get the feel of real small group worship. She has a richly textured voice, consistently dead in the centre of the note. So, it's pleasant to listen to. Rachel-Yvonne said in an interview, "I wanted it to be really down to earth and organic, just to sound real and intimate. . . I wanted to show the possibility of a deeper and more intimate relationship with God." I think she's done this. To my ears the best track is "We Cry Out (London)" which I found the most original. All these songs have a very simple base and Rachel-Yvonne is not afraid to repeat herself many times over. That does lend a hypnotic attraction to the music and there is undeniably a feeling of real worship, but sometimes I found there was simply not enough to keep my interest.
