I was quite a fan of MxPx for a while there. Their anarchic blend of exuberant punk rock and the humour of their lyrics was a refreshing change in the early '90s. I must admit that I didn't realise they had been quite so prolific, chalking up an amazing 13 releases in 10 years. Time for a retrospective - and here it is. 19 tracks of no-nonsense punk rock from one of America's finest. Like all compilations there are glaring omissions and I can't forgive them for not including "My Mom Makes Me Clean My Room". But of course there are some classic moments here - "Teenage Politics", "Chick Magnet" and "Move To Bremerton" for instance. A lot of the material has been remixed and there is even a brand new version of "Punk Rawk Show" for openers. Closing with a live version of "Middlename" this is a timely release for the band now that punk is enjoying something of a revival.
