Sporting top hat and clawhammer coat, cummerbund, white shorts and trainers, complete with 'Dulux dog' (wearing red bow tie) Mike Warnke gazes from the album sleeve the living embodiment of its title. The ex-satanist/dope-dealing freak/Vietnamese war veteran who was converted during his military service, is about the wackiest audio product in the Kingdom - no missus he's not a singer, he's a comedian. Mike's monologues are usually intricately woven, simple, real-life stories that end with raucous hilarity and razor-sharp spiritual conclusions. For those of you familiar with this superb prophetic funny-man, this is not the best of his stuff but maybe we Brits aren't ready for him yet 'in the raw'. I for one earnestly hope that Mike swiftly tours Britain and gets into our album collections. This is a sharing recording; if you thinks it's overpriced at £6.49 (it is quite short), then get a bunch of people to buy it co-operatively. I don't see why a single guy recorded live retails for the same price as a music album (roll on the death of copyright) but I'm sure that having heard him you'll want to hear more.
