Back in ’99 midshipman Rimmer reviewed this Lanarkshire band’s EP ‘Einstein 40’ and found much to please him. They subsequently went on to gig around Central Scotland until in July 2002 lead guitarist Paul Kirkland split to continue his studies in Leicester. But now the guys have thoughtfully assembled four of their recordings and are making them available in this gustily cathartic EP. Tim Knox rants powerfully on “Politically Correct” ending with that memorable chant “I’m a Bible-bashing freak”. “Good To Be” has all the hallmarks – gentle acoustic lilts and loud grungy guitar. An excellent EP, this is worth investigating even if you never got to catch the guys in concert.
