This Minnesota songsmith has been plying his trade for many years as an independent artist, but with 'All The Lovely Losers' has got that big break courtesy of Centricity Records - and he has made the most of it. There's slick production and excellent backing musicianship but they are just the vehicles to demonstrate that Gray is an artist with a clear talent. Jason is a clever, poetic lyricist - "You shine through the cracks where I was shattered/Because you pour out your grace through my broken places." He clearly expresses his faith but in a very personal and subtle way that makes his songs highly accessible to just about anyone. His sound is fairly generic country tinged pop rock with some extremely well written acoustic guitar and piano-driven melodies and delicate pop hooks. 'All the Lovely Losers' is a debut with a standard far higher than you might expect. Here is a singer and songwriter well worth the time and effort to investigate.
