An independently produced album from Michigan, described as "love songs and worship." Most of the songs fit both parts of the description: songs expressing personal devotion and trust in Jesus. Mostly medium-paced, meditative songs, with piano and guitar backing and arrangements that give the songs space to breathe. Hal Leath himself handles a lot of the vocals - but there are some good female voices too - and most of the instruments. His singing is okay, piano and guitar beautiful. The only song that lets the collection down for me is "LuAnn Marie", a song to Hal's wife, which is doubtless heartfelt but just not as good as the worship songs. Still, there's plenty of good stuff here.
