For the unfamiliar, the Grapevine August bank holiday weekend event is held through New Life Christian Fellowship in Lincoln. The 1996 live album is being reviewed a little late. While other bigger events produce more popular albums, I think this album ranks alongside them. I like the way in which the inclusion of the worship congregation is not general and enhances the recording at appropriate times. With worship led and some written by Chris Bowater. Johnny Markin and Trish Morgan and with fine musicians, there's a mix of new and recent songs and a new arrangement by Chris to the faithful words of the old hymn "0 Love That Will Not Let Me Go" by George Matheson. There are 14 tracks in all. The title track is one of three by Geoff Bullock (from Australia's Hills Christian Life Centre). Johnny Markin has a strong role with his own "He's The Lord Of Hosts", Andy Smith's "Ready For The Rain" and Martin SMith's "I Could Sing Of Your Love Forever". I don't think there's a weak song on the album. I would have liked more tracks by Trish Morgan. I'll have to be content with her solo albums.
