Lacey Sturn may have now left Flyleaf but she went out on a high with this, the band's third album. Top studio man Howard Benson has always had the gift to blend pop hooks with guitar-based rock and here he produces some of his best work with the track "Call You Out" sounding uncannily like Halestorm (another band Benson produces). Other standouts are the full on rock opener "Fire Fire" and the powerful "Cage On The Ground". Guitarists Sameer Bhattachanya and Jared Hartmann have never played better and on "Green Heart" enter metal territory. The best vocal performance from Lacey is on "Freedom" which, as another reviewer suggested, shows both vulnerability and attitude. Her distinctive tones will be missed but at least Flyleaf's numerous fans have this outstanding set to enjoy.
