This is a live set performed in Australia in the year 2000 by the American DJ and producer "arranged, recorded and mixed right on the spot". The repetitive heavy drum 'n' bass rhythm is broken up by quirky futuristic sound-tweaks and a large variety of short vocal samples, such as a question from an Aussie interviewer and portions from a countdown sequence. Unfortunately the overuse of this just appears dated. This seemed really experimental in the '90s but I can't help wonder if this stereotypical house sound might be wearing a bit thin today, especially as there is little deviation from the driving beat. What did keep my interest somewhat was the multi-layered music and textured electro sound. I suspect only the most hardcore of house music devotees will want to investigate this.
