What gets me about this album is how anyone can be so happy! All the tracks ooze a highly infectious joy on a par with lazing on a tropical beach without a care in the world. Each song is based around a finger picking acoustic folk style that creates such a laid back atmosphere that it could cure the stressed out or depressed. There is so much reassurance in Danny's comforting vocals reminding listeners that "there are days like rainbows" but on the other days God is "Right Here With You". Considering Danny is a University college lecturer on Popular Music Studies, where he specialises in songwriting, production and performance, his professional skills are highly tuned. Sleevenotes state the Danny wrote, performed, produced and mixed the whole lot (except for two tracks mixed by Matt Hey). Even the percussion was done "through tapping, scraping, dropping and thumping household objects (door keys, light switches, kitchen foil, sweeping brushes, etc)." The result is an album on a par with the brilliance of Jack Johnson, and you might even struggle to distinguish Danny from Jack. Every song is catchy and well structured; even the album design of a colouring pencil box is imaginative. One is left to wonder why Danny is such a hidden talent.
