Cross Rhythms are big supporters of the hugely talented Mr Houston though we must confess that this 2016 album made very much for the American market - Brian was living in the USA at the time - is something of an acquired taste. Brian's father was a singer who would occasionally sing in pubs and clubs around Belfast and the songs Brian sings here are largely those sung by his dad. If you like the idea of Irish evergreens like "Whiskey In The Jar", "Molly Malone" and "Irish Rover" sung with bluesy passion, you may care for this release. Personally I found it all a bit disappointing.
