US rockers Switchfoot raise more than £100,000 for non-profit housing
SAN DIEGO rockers Switchfoot raised more than $100,000 for non-profit housing organisation Habitat For Humanity during its recent Appetite For Construction tour. With support from Relient K and Ruth, the 34-city tour visited such US markets as Los Angeles, Houston, Dallas, Atlanta, Baltimore and New York. An average of 3,000 tickets were moved per night, with $1 of each ducat sold donated to local Habitat affiliates in each of the markets. In addition, members of Switchfoot worked side by side with future Habitat homeowners at several building sites on various tour stops.
