I JUST HEARD JOHN SPEAK AT THE CHURCH IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD . I DONT GO THERE REGULAR AND I HAVE ONLY BEEN TO GRACE CHURCH 2 TIMES BEFORE. I HAVE KNOWN THE LORD JESUS FOR 40 YEARS . I HAVE STRUGGLED LIKE JOHN HAS ONLY NOT WITH MONEY AND FAME . I STRUGGLED WITH 4 FAILED MARRIAGES . I TOO HAD TURNED TO THE BOTTLE FOR MY NUMBING . I CAN SAY THIS IF ONLY HE WENT THROUGH ALL THAT FAME AND PAIN . TO GET TO PORT ST LUCIE ON THIS SUNDAY MORNING , I WOULD SAY THANK YOU GOD . HE SOLIDIFIED MY FAITH AGAIN AND I PRAY FOREVER . THANK YOU JESUS FOR SENDING YOUR SERVANT TO HELP ME COME HOME.

OMG... Dear God, teach me not to be a fan, but a prayer support for all those in the songs I listen to... Remind me that these folks are just as human and prone to making mistakes as I am... Let me not put my brother or sister on a pedastal but let me lift them up instead in words of prayer and support...
Wow. Thanks for the post. Point taken to heart.

May God bless John and his family. MANY Christians fall. I know, because I am one of them. I, too, have been restored by the grace of God. In our weakness He makes us strong, and He NEVER stops loving us and wanting us to repent and come back to Him. God WILL use you mightily for His purpose, and I will pray that you are able to humble yourself and enjoy the fantastic journey that you and He are embarking on!

Honestly , just not the same watching the Newsboys without John James. His style is one of a kind. I pray that he will come back home to the NewsBoys. I truly like listening and watching him with the band.
May God be with you John !

Wow I am touched! How amazing God is and I know God will use John! Newsboys was my favorite band and it still us! To be honest I don't like the "new" Newsboys the only reason I liked Newsboys was because of John how he sang with passion for the Lord! The beautiful words! I hope one day John comes back to singing! I sure would buy all his albums!:) because I know God uses him! God bless John and his family. I'll keep him in my prayers!

Some of you have forgoten what grace is. We ALL are not perfect. That's why we need a savior who took our sins upon himself!

I think John is trying to say that they cultivated a faith-strong band. Yes, it didn't live up to that, granted. I don't think it was hypocrisy on purpose. It just happened over time. Welcome to a fallen world.

Do you think Jesus is looking to condemn? What did Jesus say to the adultress? Thank God for His restoration!

I have a bigger problem with the song, "One Shot" than John's testimony. He was sincere through & through.

Thank you John for your transparency. May God bless your ministry work!

Phil

P.S. A solo album would be great!

John,

You have great talent. Perhaps while living locally, you can form a band, write some songs for us early Newsboys fans and put it out on a label.

God's grace will see you through (to success)!

Phil

Thank you for this beautiful and touching testimony.
I had tears in my eyes while reading it.
Us christian are more prone to the attacks of the devil.
He doesn't want to see us enjoy this complete freedom we have in Jesus.
He knows our weakness and likes to see us suffer!
But today, i'm glad to say that we have the victory in Jesus' name.
He who died on the cross is more powerful than the rulers of this world.
No alcohol, drug , porn addiction can bring us down!!!
we love you Jesus
