This Michigan-based band have made a good name for themselves, touring with the likes of Silverstein and For Today. However, I must say I was disappointed with this, their first full length album. Maybe it was the merge of techno and metal, or maybe it was the rather disjointed production that seemed to near-on drown out much of the guitars. Whatever the reason, this album failed to satisfy. The guys are talented with the high-pitched clean vocals of Kyle Pavone complimenting the deep growls of David Stephens while the two guitarists can pull out some great riffs. But alongside the muddled mix the songs never quite leave a lasting impression. What connected most were the lyrics. Not all the band members confess to being Christian but their lyrics are infused with hope, something that is needed in such dark times. "I Will Not Reap Destruction" is a great example of their above average lyrics. Here's hoping the production and mix on the next album do them justice.
