Reviewed by Andrea Shearn When I first listened to 'Equation Of Love' it was with an open mind - interested to see if it breaks the Integrity Music mould. This is not a worship album, more performance in its approach. But it still carries the unmistakable smooth, well-produced, all-American flavour of Integrity recordings. A collection of 10 songs, teetering between soft pop and easy listening, this album is performed by a band called Truth, founded and directed by Roger Breland. The tracks vary in their style and content, including themes of encouragement, evangelism, assurance and exaltation. "Givin' It Up For You" has the distinct feel of "Hold On" by Wilson Phillips. Some of the songs grew on me after being less impacting on first hearing. If you enjoy pleasant, predictable, clean cut music, you'll love this. As for me, this CD will join my collection of background music. Nice, but nothing new.

I have this cd by this group that has been around since the 70's, wow! long time!! The first song I heard on ccm radio was the pop styled "Givin' it up
for YOU"; loved it immediately!! This song was co-
written by the well known Paul Baloche who brought to us the beloved song "Above All". A fantastic trio sings the lead for this song to include Karen Childers & Leigh Capillino; these 2 would form a duo the following year as Karen Leigh: the song "Save it for a
Rainy Day would be a cd hit for them. The cd starter song "Let All the Earth" begins kinda different than most ccm starters; sounds of traffic are heard before the music of the song enters; it is a great song!! The vocals for this cd are highly favorable to hear; we are blessed to hear more "Truth". I love the words to the cd title "Equation of Love";some lyrics fill the front cd cover. A beautiful duet "GOD is in Control" which includes Leigh Capillino; ccm songstress Twila Paris also graced the ccm airwaves with her own pop version title of "GOD is in Control" this same year! In the midst of a chaotic world we are given the message "GOD IS IN CONTROL". This Truth cd is filled with so many well polished songs to be heard; they are so pop ccm: the cd is worth investing.
GOD Bless! - Don
