WOW! Wonder how many gospel singers have been around as long
as this family? This is a great classic album to have by
these wonderful pioneers of gospel music. I had the joy of
seeing a Bill Gaither special not too long ago, it featured
Mylon LeFevre singing with his mother, the late Eva Mae: a
treasure to have.
I love the albums starter song "He Pilots My Ship" ( I have
this by the Goodman's on a 70's video also).
They have wonderful harmony, reminds me a lot of the
Hemphills' sound. The 5 minute "Unseen Hand" sung so
wonderfully; of course with Eva Mae on lead vocals sings at
heartfelt best. Oh what a great loss when she left this
world for Heaven on May 18,2009. We are left with the hand
clapper memory of "Gonna Keep on Holding On". I have always
luved "Somebody Loves Me" for many years; (have a slower
guitar version by another group). The less than 2 minutes
"All Of This Is Mine" is a top lp fave.
Our first lady of Gospel Music harmonizes in Heaven's choir
without a doubt. GOD Bless them all for the countless years
of blessing the earth with a slice of Heaven. -Don
