So, after three albums Stellar Kart have released a greatest hits package. This seems a bit soon for a band that have a relatively small back catalogue and, if you wanted to be cynical, would indicate that the pop punk team from Phoenix, Arizona are about to switch record labels. But enough of that, let's have a listen to the music. This 17 track compilation takes in the best of their releases, along with three "bonus" (ie, previously unreleased) tracks. The songs are arranged chronologically, so there is a clear transition and timeline between them. All of the singles big on US Christian radio are present and correct, including "Me And Jesus", "Hold On" and "Jesus Loves You". The bonus cuts consisted of a brand new song, "Lifeguard", a cover of "Centerfield" by John Fogerty and a fun Christmas medley called "Punk The Halls". It's probably clear that SK are not a deep band, but live their faith out in a loud and fun fashion. If you're a fan of Stellar Kart you probably have a lot of this stuff. But if you've yet to encounter Stellar Kart, this compilation may well turn you into a fan.
