Reviewed by Paul Poulton This is a box edition of four previously released CDs, 'Sunday School Songs', 'Praise Songs', 'Scripture Songs' and 'Bible Songs'. Though what the difference is between 'Scripture Songs' and 'Bible Songs' is not clear, save that the 'Bible Songs' CD, previously released in 2001, is worth investigation. I reviewed this CD at the time, which can be found elsewhere on this site. 'Scripture Songs' came out in 2003, and has climbed the creative ladder still further. It has punchy, US-style sock-it-to-me children-friendly rhymes and rhythms, all in all a worthy CD. Climbing still further is the fine 'Praise Songs' again from 2003. God has ordained praise from the mouths of children and this CD will certainly help them fulfil that mandate. It's replete with engaging hooks that capture a child's (and adult's) attention, unambiguous praise to the Lord, a star on the class notice board for this CD. 16 songs on each CD, plus another 16 repeats, which are split track so if you turn one side of the stereo balance off children can sing along to their heart's content; a useful resource for children's workers. The 'Sunday School' CD doesn't reach the heights of the other three CDs, though.
