This is a tight, lustrous collection of songs which will appeal to fans of anything that tars itself with the emo brush. There's genuine passion and artistry on display from this Amarillo-based band. Yes, the chord progressions and melodies are a tad predictable, but tracks like "Something Greater" make an admirable stab at employing effective dynamics, and closer "In Your Arms" benefits from some subtle yet effective production which adds a hint of grown-up alt-country to the proceedings. Prior to that, the EP kicks off with the radio-friendly "Memories", sounding pleasingly like Jonah Matranga's post-Far outfit Gratitude, before continuing with "Satellites", which only needs to soundtrack the latest American teen drama in order to receive mass exposure for its catchy "I saw you in the moonlight"' refrain. There's a lot to like about Sleep For Dreaming and 'Memories' shows they have the potential to rise above many similar bands.
