Actors have rules about not working with children or animals. I have similar feelings about reviewing albums for children and albums that are about Christmas. It's so hard to create something in this genre that isn't a) unoriginal or b) stomach turning. The people behind the Shout Praises series manage to hit a bullseye! Yep this is both nauseating and unoriginal. Bingo! Plodding their way through soft rock versions of famous Christmas songs with some tuneful adult singing and a chorus of American kids joining in doesn't a fulfilling listening experience make. You could try this out on your children but I wouldn't do it in the car unless you have some sick bags at the ready.
