Accompanied only by the nicely picked acoustic guitar of Jan Paul Howitt this lass from Doncaster offers 10 self-penned songs of faith and devotion many with a folk tinge and occasionally a hint of country. Emanating a tranquil mood and an almost childlike aura of faith, Shirley’s love of her Lord shines through while her sweet voice is easy on the ear. Not unpleasant but hardly earth shattering.

I think it's a pity to dismiss Shirley's work as ''hardly
earth shattering''. I've not been able to stop playing her
CD because it is so uplifting and filled with faith as well
as genuine musicianship. Worship music doesn't have to be
flashy or loud or high impact to make a big impact.
