They play pubs and mix in cover versions to their set and Seed are out there trying to reach the 25+ bracket with well considered, excellently executed rock'n'roll. They do a pretty good job too. Putting their best foot forward on this four track CD, the opening "Mad, Mad World" explodes into life with some funky guitar from Ross Gill and strangely singer Ron Long's vocals remind me of Cameo's Word Up'! The jangly 'Opening Forces' is smoother, more melodic and less frenetic. The catchy "I Go Wild" as the title suggests is more up tempo and 'Love Joy Peace' is a closing live track with an acoustic, rootsy feel. Well worth checking out if you want some meaty, funky pop rock. Bet they're a killer live.
