Saviour Machine's 'Legend Part II' album has apparently been picked up by Alliance for European distribution, although there's no sign of it in the UK yet. Meanwhile this four-track release is an excellent taster of what's to come. There are three mixes of the single included here. The dark 'conceptual' mix taken from the album itself, which begins with a heartbeat which is cleverly incorporated into the drum beat. This is a powerful mix with heavy overtones and the familiar gothic prog rock underlay which contrasts quite neatly with the techno-tainted treatment of the 'ego' mix and the plain piano sound of the 'classical' mix. The fourth track, "New World Order" is listed as the missing piece from 'Legend Part II', making this CD a must for completists. Expensive? Maybe, but it's a very limited affair. Still, I think, one of the most promising and under-rated Christian bands around today, Saviour Machine continue to impress.
