Ryan Wells-West, a physiotherapist and worship leader from Weymouth, releases his debut here. The album boasts high production values, a high-quality, clean sound and contains some imaginative and well-placed sound effects to accompany some original worship music. This is let down occasionally by some slight timing issues and moments where many instruments play melodies at the same time and compete for the listener's attention during instrumental sections. Wells-West's church worship leading background is evident with lots of repetition of choruses, longer songs (several of the tracks are pushing the six minute mark) and moments that seem like improvisational lyrical interludes. The album sleeve lists the track "Forgiven" as a "ministry instrumental" and it doesn't disappoint as this ambient, instrumental piece performs well as background music to quiet, reflective times. Lyrically the album is uncomplicated and sometimes disjointed but full of depth and raw emotion, particularly "I Need You More", which is a prayerful reflection on who God is and why we need him in our lives.
