Because of the laberynthine nature of our Review's system and its occasional glitches it's taken more than a year for a review of this album to surface. In this case, the time lapse could be not such a bad thing for time is what is needed for this clearly very talented Scottish team to reflect on this tape's chief deficiency, which is lack of stylistic coherence. They have two excellent vocalists, a lass (who sings best on the blues title track) and a lad, who comes across most on the haunting "Saviour On The Streets". Also, clearly there's enough musicianship in the New Life Christian Fellowship where they are based to work out some nifty arrangements. But a bit of worship, a bit of reggae, a bit of everything approach has to be discarded guys, and a clear musical direction found. If RAM do find that essential focus, you'll be hearing and reading a lot more about them. Because there's mucho talent here.
