Scottish band Restless give us a four-track EP clearly recorded on a budget but with enough musicality to create a little bit of break through the wall of budget restrictions. Clear Christian lyrics highlight the fact that Restless are a band whose focus is clearly on ministry. They're also not scared to take some musical risks by employing a few musical styles and even kicking out "Not Of Us" to over eight minutes. However after listening to 23 minutes of this EP, I want to try and persuade lead guitarist Graham Ross to please change the tone on his guitar to something less horrible. That quibble aside, Restless are clearly good musicians and the songs are well constructed and although this EP will undoubtedly serve them well to attract live gig work, they have a bit to do before they are ready to release an album.
