STYLE: Rock RATING OUR PRODUCT CODE: 4162-1794 LABEL: FORMAT: CD EP
Reviewed by Mike Rimmer
A four-track CD that introduces us to a new band from South Wales who definitely have promise but don't really deliver on this earnest debut CD. The four tracks range from the rocky "Jumping In the House" through to the acoustic "Filosify Of Life" but the main problem with the CD is that it's badly recorded so that the rocky tracks sound like they were recorded in a toilet. "Evermore" features some guest violin which is all well and good but the track feels a little ponderous and the ropey production again lets everyone down. Well meaning but the overall feel is dated and it's a little too much sixth form poetry in style. To progress the band need to work on getting a clearer production sound and writing some simpler songs that are more immediate. File in the "under construction" section and wait for the next instalment.
