There are many worship leaders currently working in the British Church. What makes this album so special is that alongside that anointing there is a musical maturity, which sets it head and shoulders above most other UK worship albums. If your only exposure lo Pete's ministry was the seriously anaemic album distributed by Alliance Music a while back. 'Work Of Art' will be a revelation. What producer Norman Barratt has done is put some rock music bite into Pete's praise while still allowing the wistful beauty of his more tender worship songs to come through. On this front the duet with Helen Sorrell "Bring Revival (Rain On Us)" is particularly outstanding with its call for God to pour out his Spirit while his delightful setting on "Psalm 113" is a rollicking joy. An album many discerning worship leaders and fans of Norman Barratt's head-to-the-sky rock guitar will want to investigate.
