Right from the first play the deliciously smooth sound of Williams' exemplary musicianship exudes from the stereo and his Benson-esque guitar stylings make you want to delve deeper into the improvisational nuances of this oh-too-short offering. Paul Williams is one of the founding members of instrumental group Collaboration and has in the past played the UK gospel scene alongside the likes of Barbara Brooks Thomas, Freddie Kofi and Dorothy Allen. 'Colours Of Joy' is a delightful, mature, well produced and wonderful musical treat - a great taster for anyone who is new to the sound of this talented gospel jazz guitarist.

Loved all the tracks on this EP. I Surrender All is played excellantly and is a powerful track that always makes me think about getting closer to the Lord. Colours of Joy is smooth and I must admit that it is my favourite. Can't wait for the album.

Colours of Joy is an excellent introduction to the guitar playing of Paul Williams. He has bags of licks and is a creative and natural improviser. I look forward to the next recording.

I really enjoyed to the tunes on the CD, v easy listening but you can sense that a lot of work has gone into putting the tracks together.
Reminded me of the work another guitarist I like, Jonathan Butler.

Good work, wish you all the best on future projects which I hope to add to my growing collection

I waited to hear Paul Williams ‘Colours of Joy’ with great anticipation, Partly because he is an undoubtedly gifted musician.

If you want to hear melodies which are very strong musically and also extremely memorable just put on Colours of Joy it combines musicianship and accessible, catchy tunes with deceptive ease.

The sound is very wide, quite ‘sweet’ and well balanced.

If you’re just feeling blue and need to experience some more Colours you know where you can find them!
