Five songs from Staffs-based worship leader Paul Broadley backed mainly by an acoustic band. Although competently recorded, this sounds dated and just a little old fashioned. "I Will Praise You" is jaunty enough with some nice touches on violin but like all the songs here, there is something lacking in the lyrical department. Paul has a habit of trotting out the timeworn phrases and one look at the lyrics to "In His Love" reveals one cliché after another in numbing procession. Sadly, although well-intentioned, most of this is too obvious to stand close scrutiny. The one highlight "Who Is There" is a tender worship tune carried off by Julie Hodgkinson's gentle voice. The closing "Nothing But The Blood" is too close to the famous song name to make an impression. Paul is to be congratulated for pushing through and getting into a studio and doing his stuff - no mean achievement - but for next time, there needs to be a lot of work put into creating songs that will demand attention.
