Russ Hughes is a worship leader well known for his work at events like Detling and for his 2000 album 'Holy Mountain'. So it's a little odd that Russ doesn't get a front sleeve billing here. Maybe it's because he shares the lead vocals on this album with that session-seasoned veteran Simon Goodall and one Helen Gallagher. Russ' 12 compositions on 'Sufficient' are strong ranging from a simple meditation on God's eternal friendship - 2001's "Friend Forever" - to a congregation-rallying anthem of praise, 2004's "Glory, Glory Hallelujah". The production here is excellent with some tasty contributions from studio stalwarts like Dan Wheeler and Andy Harsant. One song in particular, the moving "All Sufficient One", is particularly memorable.
