The 1983 almost hit single "One Mind Two Hearts" left the London-based gospel funkateers sniffing around for further hit action. With the band slimmed down to a five piece with the falsetto singing of Paul Johnson very much to the fore, they released this stab at the Beatles classic. They acquitted themselves extremely well. This 12 inch release of the single gave the listener the main extended version built on an extremely funky groove. The second version gives an alternative intro to the song but maintains the same extended mix in typical '80s fashion with an added bit of instrumental in the middle of the track. As befits this classic, there are some extremely tight funky horns and overall it sounds like a similar treatment to Earth Wind & Fire's version of "Got To Get You Into My Life". Shame it wasn't a huge hit.
