OOTG were a class act. Scott Dente wrote subtle, sinuous, often jazz-tinged pop songs, usually with producer Charlie Peacock, and his wife Christine sang the catchy yet far from formulaic songs with memorable emotion. This cheap 'n' cheerful compilation would have been better with sleevenotes and unissued tracks of course, but the quality of these 'alt pop' delights from 'Out Of The Grey' (1991 - three songs), 'The Shape Of Grace' (1992 - four songs) and 'Diamond Days' (1994 - three songs) can't be denied. If you don't have the original albums then this retrospective of one of the finest acts ever to emerge from the Nashville CCM hit factory is recommended.
