Lacking a bit vocally, and hard to pitch in a particular genre, One Room House nevertheless bring their unique slant on life from Staffordshire's Stoke-on-Trent. The foursome who share the duties in One Room House seem influenced by Crowded House, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers and Athlete and are gigging hard on the local Midlands scene, as well as north-west England. Sharing the songwriting credits, Richard, Luke, Elly and Paul have produced an honest effort with astute observations on modernity such as on the contest and quest for beauty on the track "May Queen". This, and their debut EP 'Myopic Avenue', show considerable promise What they clearly need is better production.
