Three producers, Dave Bankhead, Andrew Rayner and Richard Lewis with a handful of musicians and a whole heap of programming time herewith offer the Church a most useful resource, backing tracks to 200 popular worship choruses. With each CD offering 20 songs, these really are the evergreens most fellowships are likely to sing, with Volume 1 offering “Abba Father” to “Celebrate Jesus”; Vol 2, “Change My Heart O God” to “From The Ends Of The Earth”; Vol 3, “Give Me Oil In My Lamp” to “He That Is In Us Is Greater”; Vol 4, “He Was Pierced” to “I Sing Praises”; Vol 5, “Isn’t He Beautiful” to “Jesus Put This Song Into Our Hearts”; Vol 6, “Jesus Shall Take The Highest Honour” to “Lord You Have My Heart”; Vol 7, “Lord You’ve Been Good To Me” to “Only By Grace”; Vol 8, “O Our Lord And King” to “The King Is Among Us”; Vol 9, “The King Of Love” to “Welcome King Of Kings” and Vol 10, “We Want To See Jesus Lifted High” to “You Shall Go Out With Joy”. Performances are in the main adequate though it was probably a mistake to carry some of the top line melodies on trumpet. But at least “real” instruments are used quite often. As an aid to fellowships with no worship group this resource no doubt has its place.
