Sometimes American ideals and methods don't translate across the Atlantic as well as some might hope. However, this worship album from Woodstock, Georgia on the whole is different! The album contains a 50/50 mixture of original material and covers of existing material. The vocal group NewSong are, of course, pretty big names in the US scene but this is their first attempt at recording a worship album. The album has been recorded with the aim of capturing a live atmosphere, hoping to bring a church celebration into people's front rooms and car stereos. With this in mind the air of the album is in the mould of Hillsong Music, with a slight hint of Southern gospel harmonies. The album has been very well produced with an excellent sound quality. Songs of particular note are the uplifting cover "You Are Holy", the heartfelt "Your Favourite Name" (written by the band) and an excellent cover of the already brilliant "Glorious".
