Pennsylvanian-born emcee Neuma, also known as Ian Martin, was raised in Madrid, Spain and now resides in London having recently studied theology at Oxford University. It's not often one encounters a rapper whose inspiration are writers Blaise Pascal, C S Lewis and Dietrich Bonhoeffer. On this EP Nuema demonstrates his love for God with five meaningful tracks. The title song is an interesting cut with a smooth orchestrated backing track with clever lyrics ("I see the sun as it rises but it also lets me see the earth/I'm on the search for that key to take us out of this misery"). "Shattered" has a mid-tempo style track where the rapper declares that he was once broken and has found life in Jesus Christ ("I was a broken vessel/No horror story/But still had to wrestle/Now I give him glory"). "Eternity" is a powerful song with a deep message. "You desire truth in the innermost parts/You put eternity inside our hearts"). This is a strong EP which shows deep insight into the spiritual realities of life.
