By the CD design alone, you can tell a lot of money is riding on Natalie Wilson to be the next gospel smash. The music's production is so polished the CD nearly skips when you play it. There's even a token production from mega hitmaker Rodney Jerkins. None of this makes for exciting music however. 'The Good Life' starts upbeat then descends into a syrupy goop. The songs have no memorable quality to them with the exception of "Conquerors". NW gets particularly condescending when she starts speaking to the listener and trotting out Gospel's Most Used Bible Verses. A good voice and money do not always a good album make.
