The best yet from the new country man thanks to a magnificent set of songs and arrangements which are light as eiderdown fusing plaintive pedal steels and delicate picking with unexpected pop hooks in a coherent and eminently accessible mix of influences. Highlights are a plea for his Dad to find time in his busy schedule ("One Of These Days"), an achingly poignant reminder that young lust isn't the same as love ("Love Waits") and a touching song on the timeless theme of forgiveness ("The Power Of Forgiveness"). Similar in feel and direction to Gary Chapman's latest, 'Where Love Runs Deep' can only further contribute to the re-emergence of country into the CCM arena.
