Long before we heard the familiar "One Day At A Time" that
Marijohn co-wrote with famed songwriter Kris Kristofferson
(writer of "Why Me LORD"). The voice of Cristy Lane
recorded the song so superbly in 1981. The sound of
Marijohn's piano playing is very similar to what you would
hear within the church doors, or home gatherings. I had
heard a trio called "Diakaneo" sing Marijohn's song "Where
I'm Going"; I immediately was taken by the song; luv it! (I
wish it weren't the last song on the album). "Rest Me JESUS"
is an album favorite as is "HIS Kind of Love". The songs
on this album are nice and mellow. "HE is GOD" reminds us
of Psalms 46:10a.
"It's a Brand New World" is another lp hi-lite song; has a
nice sax sound. "Give it Away" has a cajun sound to it; it
would be nearly 20 years later when CCM artist Michael W.
Smith would have a song with the same title. GOD Bless! -Don
