This 10 track CD contains a good selection of well-known Christmas carols, from "Away In A Manger" to "The First Noel", arranged by producer Tom Quimby as lullabies for little children. The melodies are the traditional ones (although in the USA they have some different traditional tunes from the ones we're used to in Britain) and they are all played quietly and without much variation on keyboards (with a little help from the occasional guitar or accordion) to achieve a music box-like effect. The album cover describes them as 'soothing'. I'd call them soporific and I doubt whether you could listen to the whole album without falling asleep. But then, I suppose that's the point.
