Landing Lane are a four-piece based in Newark, New Jersey who've been together since September 2007 when Dave Moore, the singer, and Kirby Jackson, lead guitarist, got together. This is their self-produced debut. This is a worship CD, the songs all being upward focused while also drawing on their various life experiences. While the ambition and work ethic are strong, it is not reflected in the actual music. Landing Lane have a garage rock sound, but the whole album is unfortunately not very well mixed and poorly produced. And Dave's voice and Kirby's guitar display very little light and shade which ultimately gets very fatiguing for the listener. Also, I struggled to actually understand what Dave was singing, which was a shame.
