The US-based Passion Conference has, of course, become a platform for some of the most gifted modern worship songsmiths currently impacting the world Church and with this set, recorded live at the 2013 conference in Atlanta, attracts a wide array of talented musicians including Chris Tomlin, David Crowder, and Matt Redman. Many live events have a tendency to whip the crowd up and some of the tracks here fall into this trap, with "Everybody in the middle - get loose" and similar exhortations aping secular rock concerts. "God's Great Dance Floor" is certainly a fine number that doesn't need hyping up. There is also some great spirit-filled worship with "Jesus, Only Jesus". The tight-rope between performance and corporate worship is a hard one to walk. "Revelation Song" features beautifully modulated vocals from Kari Jobe while Tomlin's "We Glorify Your Name" features a heart warming crowd acapella. Then there's "Come To The Water" sung powerfully by Kristian Stanfill over a fine bass line interfacing with a lively electric guitar. Ms Stanfill also brings the album to a close with a stirring rendition of Townend's and Getty's "In Christ Alone".
